Many persons start following office fashion simply because they want to play it safe. They feel scared about the possibility of losing a promotion simply because they do not dress well. Well, adopting such an approach can lead to ridiculous consequences. What if your boss likes to see you in a mini skirt? Does that mean you are going to wear it for a promotion?

It is important to create the right environment and atmosphere when you are at work. It is dependent on your mood and also the mindset of your colleagues. A group of individuals who are neatly dressed and carry themselves well will look focused, determined and confident.

On the other hand, a group of individuals who are slouching and have no sense of fashion would probably not be trusted to do a job properly. Of course, there are those who qualify as experts and geniuses and do not follow these rules. Well, society has a lenient approach towards such individuals but membership is very limited. More often than not, you are required to follow the rules of basic fashion. Your fashion sense may have a huge impact on the mindset of those people around you.

Further, there is also an important question of comfort. The six to eight hours that you spend in your office are your most productive hours. In such a scenario, not wearing something that you are comfortable is only going to affect your productivity negatively. This is not to say that wearing fashionable clothes will make you super efficient. However, it will help you enjoy work better and that is very important to do a good job.

One can safely say God is one of the biggest fan of fashion in the world. Why else would HE create so much variety around us? The colors in the rainbow curve in the sky. Trees have leaves of different shapes, sizes and colors. No two flowers have the same design. Even the clouds in the sky have many different patterns. If you want to look fashionable, you just have to borrow ideas from nature and you will do a good job.

Let us try to understand the importance of patterns. Buy half a dozen shirts of the same color. Have boxes printed on one shirt and have another one designed with checks. Have diagonal stripes printed on the third and opt for cutouts on the fourth. The moment you make patterns, people will focus more on the design and shape of the figures instead of the color. Many persons may simplify ignore the fact that you are wearing shirts of essentially the same color.

Now choose two shirts and opt for different patterns. You will realize that variety and choices increase at a geometric rate. If you adopt the same choices of patterns and going for shirts of two different colors, you will end up with different shirts without any effort whatsoever.

Choose your accessories wisely and you will successfully change your image quickly. A tie with loud circles will look different as compared a tie with sober colors and striped pattern. You do not have to be a genius to understand these things and use fashion properly. If you have any doubts, just take a walk in the woods for some clarity.

Do you feel that it is virtually impossible to follow fashion in a sensible manner? Well, people fail to realize that fashion is nothing more than common sense combined with a bit of style. Let us presume you are planning a night out with your friends. You have not met them for a long time and want to spend some time having fun.

What are you going to wear? Chances are high that you would not bother much about the attire. You only focus on your fun and entertainment. Obviously, the clothes you choose must be comfortable. Wearing a three piece suit for a night out will make sense only if you are more interested in sitting in a 7 star hotel and sipping old wine. If you are going to drive around the town and have lots of fun, you will need a casual attire.

What about your shoes? Will it make sense to wear your crocodile skin leather shoes? Or would you prefer flip flops that are so comfortable that you may not even feel them on your feet? You probably take all these decisions in an instinctive manner. Fashion is nothing more than analyzing these decisions, understanding the logic behind the same and acting accordingly.

Once you understand this, you will realize that it does not take a lot to look fashionable. Instead of wearing your standard flip flop, why don’t you wear matching flip flops or those in outrageous colors? It will attract attention to your feet and to your confidence of wearing such a pair of footwear without bothering about what others will say.

Spring is a time of bright colors, new life, and anthropomorphized egg-distributing bunnies. The winter clothes go back to the bottom of the clothes pile on the floor of the closet and the summer clothes can soon be dug out. Spring is here. So put away the dark, dreary, winter colors and pull out the fun, brighter looks of spring.

A spring dress or a sundress is great stylistic throwback to the 50s and 60s. A light colored dress with maybe a simple floral print and a simple cut is always nice for spring. Don’t like sundresses? A springy skirt or shorts are great too. Wear something light and comfortable that fits your personality and mood.

Drop the dark colors. It’s spring. Go for whites, reds, light blues, pinks, yellows, and other light colors. Put away the blacks, browns, and dark blues. If you don’t have light-colored clothing or don’t like them or don’t look good in them, then accessorize your dark colors with the whites, reds, pinks, and other spring colors.

Sandals or platform sandals or flats or heels go great with a spring dress. A pair of light colored boots can even work. Get something lightly colored that accentuates your spring dress – or spring shorts or skirt.

Break up a dress or skirt with a belt. A scarf can even be used for this. Layer and mix your colors and accessories. Be creative. Mix and match what you have in the closet to create your perfect spring look.

For a man to look good is not as hard as it seems. Yes there are men that go to the extreme such as, manicures, pedicures and spa treatments. Nothing wrong with that, but if you are not into it there are ways to make yourself presentable at all times.

For people in general, especially men, you want to look good, but be comfortable.  Nothing turns on a woman more than a man that is confident and looking well put together. This is a common mistake that men do. You should always match your belt with your shoes and wear hats that coordinate with the outfit.

Aside from the clothing, men need to be mindful about their grooming habits. Having a wild beard/mustache or unkempt hair is a no-no when it comes to women. Keep your hair neatly cut as well as your facial hair. Men often keep their facial hair shaved off for easier maintenance. Also, take regular showers and moisturize the skin. This will help your skin to stay healthy and avoid skin problem like cracking and peeling.

Again, you don’t to do a lot to look good, but the main thing is staying on top of it. Not only do you want to look good to others, but you want to feel good about you!
