Women love clothes. There is no doubt about that. Working women want to look their best at work. They sometimes bring a lot of fashion sense in the office. In an office full of badly dressed men, the arrival of one well-dressed woman can even change the way how men dress!

Women bring a lot of prettiness to the office. They make an office fun by bringing in elements of having fun at work, dressing well, and displaying camaraderie amongst colleagues. Women have to keep in mind certain things when dressing to work. Here are these.

Gaudy outfits are a big no-no. Low necklines, boob-showing outfits, low-waist jeans are some of them. Women should not wear to office what they’d wear for a Saturday night outing.

Women may feel that this could make them attractive at office, and change the way people react to her. But this can only ”characterize” women. They may make people perceive them in a certain way which may not be healthy.

An office is often not a place to look sexy. Unless it is an advertising company, or a fashion house, or an organization where looking sexy is fine. But looking sexy in an information technology company might distract the geeks!

Employers of fortune 500 companies have dressing rules. Many companies do not. Women working in such companies often do not understand what to wear to work.

The best way to understand what to wear to work is to wear something that looks attractive and not distractive!

Most men will agree that shopping for clothes isn’t a task they readily enjoy. For most, it is a matter of getting in and out of the store as quickly as possible. This can often result in the purchasing of items that are not needed or that do not fit properly. Here are some tips to make the shopping experience a little less painful for you.

Prepare

Before you hit the shops, make a list of what you need. Going clothes shopping and not knowing what you need or want is the quickest road to frustration. Indecisiveness often leads to you either purchasing something you didn’t want or not purchasing anything at all!

Budget

If you can, do some research by looking through catalogues or online before you go shopping. Take note of what you like or want and note down the prices of them. From this you can then form a budget as to how much you can spend. This way, you will not only get what you need, but you won’t end up spending money you don’t have.

Plan

If you know where you are going, then plan which shops you will visit. It may sound like over-kill, but planning where you will shop will keep you focused and prevent any frustrations that may come from aimlessly wandering around the mall. Most malls have websites with maps of where stores are located within the building. This is a great way to plan your shopping journey, and to get the job done efficiently.

Although shopping doesn’t come naturally for a lot of men it can be a painless process.

Looking Fashionable During A Night Out – It Is All Based On Common Sense

Do you feel that it is virtually impossible to follow fashion in a sensible manner? Well, people fail to realize that fashion is nothing more than common sense combined with a bit of style. Let us presume you are planning a night out with your friends. You have not met them for a long time and want to spend some time having fun.

What are you going to wear? Chances are high that you would not bother much about the attire. You only focus on your fun and entertainment. Obviously, the clothes you choose must be comfortable. Wearing a three piece suit for a night out will make sense only if you are more interested in sitting in a 7 star hotel and sipping old wine. If you are going to drive around the town and have lots of fun, you will need a casual attire.

What about your shoes? Will it make sense to wear your crocodile skin leather shoes? Or would you prefer flip flops that are so comfortable that you may not even feel them on your feet? You probably take all these decisions in an instinctive manner. Fashion is nothing more than analyzing these decisions, understanding the logic behind the same and acting accordingly.

Once you understand this, you will realize that it does not take a lot to look fashionable. Instead of wearing your standard flip flop, why don’t you wear matching flip flops or those in outrageous colors? It will attract attention to your feet and to your confidence of wearing such a pair of footwear without bothering about what others will say.

Simple Spring Fashion Tips

Spring is a time of bright colors, new life, and anthropomorphized egg-distributing bunnies. The winter clothes go back to the bottom of the clothes pile on the floor of the closet and the summer clothes can soon be dug out. Spring is here. So put away the dark, dreary, winter colors and pull out the fun, brighter looks of spring.

A spring dress or a sundress is great stylistic throwback to the 50s and 60s. A light colored dress with maybe a simple floral print and a simple cut is always nice for spring. Don’t like sundresses? A springy skirt or shorts are great too. Wear something light and comfortable that fits your personality and mood.

Drop the dark colors. It’s spring. Go for whites, reds, light blues, pinks, yellows, and other light colors. Put away the blacks, browns, and dark blues. If you don’t have light-colored clothing or don’t like them or don’t look good in them, then accessorize your dark colors with the whites, reds, pinks, and other spring colors.

Sandals or platform sandals or flats or heels go great with a spring dress. A pair of light colored boots can even work. Get something lightly colored that accentuates your spring dress – or spring shorts or skirt.

Break up a dress or skirt with a belt. A scarf can even be used for this. Layer and mix your colors and accessories. Be creative. Mix and match what you have in the closet to create your perfect spring look.

For women who are on a budget, it might be hard to find that perfect dress for going out on that special occasion. So what are you to do if your money is tight and you don’t have a thing to wear?

You can always go online and find deals. If you check out sites such O.com there are hundreds of styles to choose from. Other sites that sell women dresses are always on sale or marked down by 20 percent. If you’re not computer savvy then try your local boutiques. Most of the time they hold sales to get rid of old stock to make room for the new. You are sure to find discounted dress on sale that could be marked down by 50 percent!

Just like with men renting a tux, you can rent a dress too. There are stores that rent dress for special occasions or if you are only going to wear it once. This is a good idea if you are looking to get a dress that is similar to a style you saw your favorite celebrity in. You can wear the style without paying the price. If renting is not your cup of tea, then look into thrift stores. Sometimes you can find those hidden treasures in places like this. Of course this will take more time and effort for they don’t come in all shapes and sizes.

Looking good on a budget is not impossible. Like in many situations it takes time and planning. You can look like a million bucks with spending it.

Raising Funds in the Workplace

In the workforce if you’re in charge of fundraisers there are some good ideas to keep in mind when planning your next event. They are simple and will get everyone involved for a good cause.

Announce to staff that you are holding a potluck fundraiser. This works by having everyone make a dish and bring it to the office. If you want you can create a theme or specify the types of dish. The way you raise money is by charging a fee to participate in the potluck or you can auction off the dishes to the highest bidder.

Holding a clothing sale is another route to go! You would have you coworkers bring in clothing that they are no longer wearing, but in good condition for purchase. Then divide the clothing into categories for men, woman and children if need be. Then price the articles at their value and let your coworkers buy the garments. The money that is raised at the end can go toward the charity you are representing.

If you want to do something different you can have a day or two for your coworkers get designer haircuts. You can get a local hair dresser to come in to your company at a flat rate and charge your coworkers a fixed fee for a new haircut. This is sure to be popular among those that like to keep themselves looking good at all time. After the event you can donate the monies raised to the charity.

It’s important to make sure that it’s clear on what charity that you are raising money for or the cause. People are always looking to help even in these hard economic times, so make sure it’s worth their wild.

Looking Sharp for Your Close Up

Why is it that some people look good in photos and others don’t? It could be the way that you take your pictures. Believe it or not, there is an art to taking a good picture.

It’s all about the clothing. When taking a good picture, it’s suggested not to pick clothing that will enhance any flaws you have. Therefore, stay away from items with large prints or clothing that has monotone colors. Try to stay away from baggy clothing too. This can make a person look bigger then what they are. Get clothing that drapes you nicely and will show off your fingure. For women, you want to be as light on the make up as possible. Remember the camera enhances your features so you don’t what to overdo it. You can apply a little extra if the light is harsh at the time of shooting.

Make sure the ways you’re posing in pictures are correct. Keep your eyes soft and make sure you are smiling keeping your lips apart slightly. Never smile too big especially in a portrait photo. Also be aware of your best side or profile. If you know your right or left side works better in pictures, then use that side as much as possible. You will be sure to get good pictures every time. Keep your posture in mind. Don’t try so hard to pose in pictures. The more relaxed you are the better the picture will turn out. If you sit, sit as straight as you can to bring height and depth to your image. If you stand, be as erect too so you look confident.

So the next time you take a picture look and feel your best. A picture is worth a thousand words!

The majority of the time when giving a gift to a man, he’s not looking for elaborate ones. Most men are simple and want things they can use. If it’s for Father’s Day or his birthday there are economic things you can give without draining the account or your brain.

Weather permitting you might want to take him on a picnic. You can choose a spot somewhere in a forest preserve or a hillside. Pack his favorite meal and have a romantic time just the two of you. If he is into BBQ, then taking a small grill will do the trick as well. Keeping in terms of a romantic theme, how about dinner and dancing. Now I’m not talking about going out to a fancy restaurant and club. All you need is to prepare him is favorite meal by candlelight with soft music to dance to. Men like to be wine and dinned sometimes too!

If you want to get something particle then look into getting him a pair of nice undergarment, such as boxer shorts and having his initials monogramed on them. This can be inexpensive especially if you do it over the internet. Sometimes you can fine deals that will allow you to get the monogram included in the order, as well as free shipping. If you want to go a step further, take him shopping for clothing. A few articles like a nice shirt and tie can go a long way. Jeans are a good idea because they never go out of style.

If all else fails you can give him a gift certificate to his favorite store. If he is into tool, fishing or sports, you can’t go wrong by giving him a certificate so he can buy what he wants. Whether it’s Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or just a special date night, there’s always a reason to plan a romantic night out. There are lots of ways to make a night special; here are some fun ideas.

First, keep in mind what your partner enjoys. That may sound simple, but some people forget that and try to plan a night based on what society says is romantic. If you want to plan a fancy dinner but your spouse’s favorite restaurant is Denny’s, their desires should win out. Try something new, but don’t pick something that is directly contrary to what your spouse wants.

Be sure to have the entire night planned ahead of time. A busy spouse and parent gets used to making decisions all day, and one of the most romantic parts of a night out is not having to plan it. If all your spouse has to do is show up and enjoy, they will appreciate your effort even more.

If your spouse spends a lot of time taking care of your children or taking care of things at home, start the romantic night early. How? Take over the house and the children for a few hours; send your spouse to the mall to buy a new outfit and get pampered. Being relaxed and feeling beautiful are great ways to start off a romantic night on the town.

Even if your romantic night out doesn’t go exactly as planned, you and your partner are sure to have fun. Just keep your partner’s preferences in mind and you are sure to plan a night that you will both enjoy.
